Thank you Pope Benedict XVI for your faithful leadership of our Holy Catholic Church. You were the second Pope in my lifetime and I think the one who had the most impact on my faith. I cried when I learned that Blessed Pope John Paul II had died on April 2, 2005 while I was in the Netherlands and I cried today as they closed the doors of the Castel Gandolfo signaling the end of your Pontificate. You will be in my family's prayers as you enter into monastic life. You will continue to be a guiding voice in my life through your prolific and brilliant writing. I love you, Papa!
The Holy See is now sede vacante. Pray for our Church in the coming days and always. May the College of Cardinals listen to the Holy Spirit and select the man Christ is calling to serve as our next Pope.
